FAQ

Q: How do I setup the SuperDeker?

A: Click here to watch the setup video.

Q:  How to Reset the High Score?

A:  Simply hold down the YELLOW BUTTON for several seconds until the scoreboard reads HOLD then keep holding until it reads DONE.  This will reset the high score for the current game mode that you are in.

Q:  My peg is broken.  What do I do?

A:  If the broken peg is stuck in the bar, you will need a new bar.  Keep in mind that the game numbers that start with L and RD both have a different size bar.  Click on the Contact Us and fill out the form for information on receiving a new peg and/or bar if needed.

Q: How do I clean my game?

A: The best way to keep the game slick is to make sure that the surface stays clean.  It has been recommended using a Mr.Clean Magic eraser to clean the surface of the game.  Get the eraser damp and clean the whole surface of the game, then dry off with a soft cloth. Reapply three squirts of the spray to both halves of the ice surface and wipe around with a soft cloth just like waxing a car.  Keep in mind that using too much spray will cause the game to slow down.  If the puck slides off the game, please clean it as well before putting it back on the game, so it does not track dirt on to the playing surface. A dry  dusting cloth and applying the spray once a month should be all needed.

Q: My puck is not gliding well.  What can I do?

A:  Make sure that the protective layer of plastic is taken off of the game.  If you are using Black tape on your hockey stick this will cause the game to slow down.  Applying too much zero-friction ice spray will also cause the game to slow down as it builds up too much.  If the issue is too much spray you can clean the game using the Mr.Clean Magic eraser as following. Get the eraser damp and clean the whole surface of the game, then dry off with a soft cloth. Reapply three squirts of the spray to both halves of the ice surface and wipe around with a soft cloth just like waxing a car.  Keep in mind that using to much spray will cause the game to slow down.  If puck slides off the game, please clean it as well before putting it back on the game so it does not track dirt on to the playing surface. A dry Swiffer sweeper for dusting and applying the spray once a month should be all needed.

Q: My SuperDeker won’t go to sleep after ten minutes.  How do I fix this?

A:  A SuperDeker will turn off after 10 minutes of non-use automatically.  If a puck is left on one of the sensors, the SuperDeker will not go to sleep.  Please take the puck off the game when finished.

Note:  In high static areas like basements in the wintertime, the SuperDeker may turn on by itself without the puck even touching the game.  This is due to static electricity.  The static electricity can start a game cycle.  This is rare but not an issue.  It will not harm the game.  A customer can simply unplug the game, and it will not start due to static electricity.

Q: My game is clicking, and not level in the middle.  The seams don’t match.  How do I fix this?

A:  If the game is brand new, make sure that it is laying on a level floor, that the cord under the game is in its groove.  In shipping, a small protective piece of foam is under one side of the game that needs to be removed or it can cause the game to not lay flat. Make sure to firmly press down on each side of the game to make sure it lies down flat.  Confirm that the band holders are on correctly.

In some cases, the seams at the center are a little tight, and the puck may click slightly as it crosses the center. This is usually not an issue and it is normal to hear a slight click.

A: The box is about 22 pounds and the dimensions are 40" x 30" x 3".

Q: Do you have concerns that this will reinforce bad 'heads down hockey' habits? Or, can you view the light okay with peripheral vision?

A: The SuperDeker game is also a top-notch training tool.  The person using the SuperDeker has options when it comes to how they train. They may want to keep the bands on or take them off depending on what that person is looking to work on. Same thing with keeping your head up. You would follow the same thought process as your other stickhandling training and would want to keep your eyes up as much as possible. Sometimes when you just want to have fun and maybe set a new high score, you can concentrate more on the lights and the puck rather than your peripheral vision. Once you get really good, you'll be able to break high scores even with your eyes up.

Q: Is this just for little kids, or is it helpful for older kids as well?

A: The SuperDeker can be enjoyed by players of all ages.

Q: Can it be left in the garage? Is it temperature sensitive?

A: Please make sure to keep the SuperDeker from moisture and extreme temperatures.

Q: What type/brand of stick would you suggest to use with this?

A: You can use any brand hockey stick with a ABS blade - do not tape the blade as it will leave scuff marks on the board.

Q: What are the dimensions of the pad?

A: Playing Dimensions 67" long, 28.5" wide, 7/8" thick

Q: Can you use a stick that has been taped?

A: The tape on the stick will leave scuff marks on the SuperDeker playing surface as well as dull the playing surface . Will not hurt the surface but you will need to keep in wiped clean after.

Q: How many and what type of batteries does it require?

A: SuperDeker Advanced Training System does not take batteries.  It has a plug in unit.

Q: Can you put this on carpet, or does it need to be on a wood floor?

A: You can put the SuperDeker on carpet or a wood surface - as long as it is a flat surface.

Q: When shipped, does the package have a picture on the outside, or is it a plain brown box?  Trying not to give away product inside

A: The SuperDeker ships in a brown corrugated box.  It does not have a picture but does say SuperDeker on the outsize of the box.

Q: I’m concerned this requires the player to look down which is exactly opposite of what we want them to do on ice. Looking for feedback?

A: This is a great training aid and can be tailored for different types of skills. Much as you use your peripheral vision on the ice to look down without actually looking down you can do the same thing here too. You may not be able to score as high as you would looking down but you can still train this skill. Also, working on training your stick handling ability while looking down is not a huge issue. As you bring up skill and confidence in one area you will be able to transfer that skill into your game day play style. Being a better stick handler overall will allow you to feel more confident with your head up, train both ways in efforts to improve your overall game.

Q: Can you buy extra pucks for the system?

A: Yes, ePucks sold on our accessories page.

Q: May I know the dimensions of the packing? Thanks

A: The package is 40" x 30"X 3"

Q: Who manufactures the Superdeker?

A: SuperDeker is the brand who manufactures this item.  That's us!

Q: Can you tip it up on its side to store it against a wall?

A: We wouldn't expect any issues, just make sure nothing is flexing the board at all.

Q: Concerned about durability... can the device, internal lights, etc., handle the weight if someone accidentally steps on the playing surface?

A: No - the weight will break the plastic sliding surface so try your best not to step on the SuperDeker.

Q: Also will this work with street hockey sticks

A: You can use plastic street hockey blades on the SuperDeker surface when practicing your at home puck skills

Q: How might you get the surface to imitate that of a sports court for our inline players?

A: This version is really geared to offer an on ice feel but I think it would be able to help inline players too. This is a great way to make stick handling practice fun!

Q: Do you sell additional bottles of surface spray?

A: Yes, you can purchase on our accessories link at the top of the site.
